Engagement

Engagement is calculated looking forward, counting the number of times/appearance rates of a certain metric in the previous period.
Engagement supports both date and non-date dimensions.
For the engagement period of "range time," "continuous engagement" calculations are supported.

Engagement offers two types of calculation results:

  • Engagement count
  • Engagement rate

Date Dimension Engagement

The smallest date dimension aggregation supported by engagement calculation is "day," and the largest aggregation is "year."

Non-Date Dimension Engagement

Non-date dimension engagement requires specifying the selected time, i.e., the calculation time, as well as specifying the engagement period, i.e., the comparison period.

Engagement Period

Engagement supports three kinds of engagement periods:

  • Fixed Time
  • Range Time
  • Custom Time

Fixed Time

Range Time

When the engagement period is "range time," "continuous engagement" calculation is supported. Continuous engagement refers to a metric appearing in every period within this time range. For example, if a customer logs into the website every day in November, that customer would be considered a continuously engaged customer.
