Connecting to MySQL

Please follow the steps below to create a MySQL connection:

1. Click on Data Connections in the left sidebar.

2. Enter the Data Connections page.

There are 2 choices on this page:

1. At the top, "New Data Connection", click on the corresponding connection type to add a new data connection.

2. At the bottom, "Available Data Connections", you can select a data connection that has been previously created.

3. Click on New Data Connection at the top right of the page, click on the corresponding connection type to add a new data connection.

4. After selecting "MySQL" in the "Database" group, proceed to the page to set the connection parameters.

5. After filling in the parameters, click the "Validate" button to get the validation results (check the connectivity between HENGSHI SENSE and the data connection being set up; the connection cannot be added until it has been validated successfully).

6. Once validated successfully, click the "Add" button to add the configured MySQL connection.

MySQL 5 and earlier versions do not support window functions, and therefore do not support Advanced Calculations; the Acceleration Engine must be enabled to support them.
